Violence is an action by which a person tries to establish a power relationship with another person. Violence gives no consideration to the needs and emotions of the other. The person using violent behavior forces the other to act against his will and without respecting their rights. It is therefore seen as an attempt to control others. Violence is not a characteristic of the individual, but rather a means used to accomplish goals. That is why we speak of a person using violent behavior, and not a violent person.
